Story behind all stories! Raevanth enjoyed playing chess from a very young age. To encourage this, we had enrolled him in professional chess class from January 2018. Right from first class, his coach was not happy that Rae couldn’t write much and he didn’t know the alphabets. He was not happy with the schooling and was constantly suggesting us to change schools as Rae was not able to write Alphabets (Q for Queen, N for Knight, B for bishop, K for king, R for Rook, rows(a-h) and files(1-8)). It was tough for both Rae and his coach to understand each other initially because Rae was talking in phonics and his coach in alphabets. We had to have regular conversations with the coach insisting that let him know the niches of the game rather than writing until he settles down. One day, a child who had joined after Rae had apparently got chess workbook, which was very big disappointment for him. When he checked with his coach, he had replied that Rae has to learn ...
